Barcelona’s finest set to rock Southampton this Friday
One of the hottest bands in Spain will play a free gig in Southampton this Friday (25th November). The highly rated Holy Bouncer have been booked to play The Alexandra Beer Emporium in Bellevue Road as part of Free Music Fridays.
The Barcelona-based 5 piece have just released their debut album, Hippie Girl Lover, and visit Southampton as part of a major European tour.
Holy Bouncer are lifelong friends having known each other since they were 5 years old and their musical diet has been based on the big influence of bands like Pink Floyd, Tame Impala, Blur, The Who, The Doors and Pearl Jam. They say it couldn’t be any other way as their Ying & Yang are The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. Mixing 70’s sounds with more current delights they deliver a mix of psychedelic rock that they name “Hippie Rock”. They’ve performed at festivals across Spain as well as supporting Southampton’s own Band of Skulls when they played Barcelona.
Support on the night comes from local stars, Kid Ackley and The Slack 5. The first band is on just after 8pm and entry is free all night.
