Charlatans, Frank Turner and more join Victorious Festival lineup

Portsmouth’s Victorious Festival – the UK’s biggest metropolitan festival – has today announced an incredible second wave of artists to join an impressive bill that already features Stereophonics, Madness, Elbow and many more.

Joining Madness on the all-new Friday night Opening Party is legendary Mancunian powerhouse The Charlatans. With almost 30 years at the forefront of indie rock and 12 studio albums into a remarkable career, their set will be packed with stand up hits and the hope of some new material.

Also announced is Punk-folk troubadour Frank Turner, alt-rock stalwarts British Sea Power, Britpop favourites Echobelly, BBC Music Sound Of…. Finalist Raye, Zimbabwe-born synthpop artist Rationale, Brighton indie rockers Toy, grunge folksters Banfi, feted chanteuse Lily Rendle-Moore and up-coming British singer/songwriter Leo Stannard.

Olly Murs is a singer/songwriter who needs no introduction. Having finished runner-up in the sixth series of The X Factor, Olly was propelled to heights of pop stardom and into the nation’s hearts with a string of hit singles and a double platinum selling debut album. Rightly renowned for a dynamic live show, his Victorious performance is sure to put a smile on everyone’s face.

Joining Olly at the top of the bill is MOBO winning R&B singer Rita Ora. From coaching on The Voice UK to judging on The X Factor to acting in Hollywood movies not to mention a number one album, Rita has found time in her hectic schedule to bring her trademark R&B party to the main stage at Victorious. To say it will be unmissable is an understatement.

Said festival director Andy Marsh: “This year’s line up just goes from strength to strength. Our mission has always been to provide the biggest and best party possible and with the addition of a bit of pop royalty with Olly and Rita we really do have something for everyone. It’s going to be the best Victorious yet.”

Held in the spectacular seaside location of Southsea overlooking the Solent, Victorious Festival is an amazing family friendly experience with the best live acts, an enormous free kids arena, bustling markets, real ale, real food and an atmosphere not to be missed.
